The HR Solutions Show is pleased to present a keynote
luncheon with special guest Dr. Linda Duxbury. The luncheon
is part of the OHRPA Annual Retreat, a special program
of keynotes and break-out sessions running in conjunction
with this yearıs HR Solutions Show.
Linda Duxbury is a Professor at the School of
Business, Carleton University. She received a B.A.Sc.
and M.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Management
Sciences from the University of Waterloo. She is the principal
investigator of a three University research team that
has completed a major study on Balancing Work and Family.
Dr. Duxbury is also currently conducting research that
evaluates the organizational and individual impacts of
E-mail, portable office, cellular telephones, telework,
the compressed work week, flextime, shift work, regular
part-time work and on-site day care programs, and studying
what makes a "supportive" manager. Her current work is
in the areas of measuring the costs for organizations
who do not manage work-life balance issues, as well as
work-family conflict in the small business sector.
Dr. Duxbury has published widely in both the academic
and practitioner literatures in the area of work-family
conflict, supportive work environments, stress, telework,
and supportive management.
Always an enlightening and popular speaker, Dr. Duxbury's
ideas and research are highly valued by major business
organizations and government agencies. In this Keynote
Luncheon, delegates will learn from recent research into
work-life balance, understanding the Nexus Generation
issues, and more.
